$100,000 EXTRA win in Simmie

Melanie Larson started 2023 with a bang after she took home $100,000 on the EXTRA she added to her ticket for the Dec. 31 WESTERN 649 draw.

The winner from Simmie purchased her ticket from Pharmasave at 390 Central Ave. N in Swift Current on Dec. 30.

She discovered her win by scanning it on the Lotto Spot app a couple of weeks later.

“I was at a hockey tournament and decided to take a break,” Larson explained. “I got in my car and drove to the gas station. That’s when I decided to check my tickets in my car.”

“I was shocked!” she said.

Larson has a few plans for her windfall.

“I’m going to pay off some debt,” she explained.

The happy winner won $100,000 by matching the last six digits on the Dec. 31 EXTRA — 2096395.

Sask Lotteries is the main fundraiser for more than 12,000 sport, culture and recreation groups in communities across Saskatchewan.
