$100,000 WESTERN MAX prize won in Saskatoon
David Pawluk had a hard time believing he won $100,000 on the Sept. 17 WESTERN MAX draw, even though the numbers were right in front of him.
“I scanned the ticket and my first thought was, ‘There’s too many zeroes on the screen,’” he laughed while claiming his prize. “I just couldn’t believe it.”
The winner said he hasn’t made any plans for his winnings yet, but he does have a couple of ideas for down the road.
“I’m not going to do anything crazy,” he said. “I’ll likely get a new vehicle and go from there.”
“The best part about this win for me is knowing I don’t have to worry as much about financial planning,” he continued. “It’s a good feeling.”
Pawluk purchased his winning WESTERN MAX ticket at the 7-Eleven Food Store located at 10-120 Tweed Lane in Saskatoon. He won his prize by matching six of the seven main draw numbers plus the Bonus number – 2, 4, 18, 35, 39, 44 and 50, and the Bonus 17.
