La Loche resident takes home $100,000 instant prize

Roger Janvier was in for a sweet surprise when he scratched his ULTIMATE instant ticket and revealed a $100,000 prize.

Janvier purchased his ticket from Lakeshore Express at Lot 1 BLK 14 La Loche Ave. in La Loche on Dec. 29. He discovered the win later that day when he scratched his ticket that evening at home.

“I scratched the ticket and saw that I had a matching number,” he recalled as he claimed his prize.

“Then I saw the prize amount and I was like ‘what?!’”

To be sure of what he was seeing, Janvier decided to double check his ticket by scanning it on the Lotto Spot app.

Janvier said he plans to put some of his windfall towards bills.

Sask Lotteries is the main fundraiser for more than 12,000 sport, culture and recreation groups in communities across Saskatchewan.
