Regina winner takes home $100,000 windfall
REGINA (July 23, 2020) — Roman Tataryn kept his cool when he found out he’d won $100,000 on a WOOF WOOF ZING ticket in May.
“I stayed calm,” he chuckled. “Then I called my daughter to tell her and she asked if I was sure and then said she was coming over right then to look at it.”
Tataryn picked up his ticket by chance. He went to BG Fuels at 4450 Rochdale Boulevard in Regina looking for another ZING ticket. When it wasn’t available, he purchased his winning WOOF WOOF ticket instead.
Tataryn said he’ll be probably spend most of the windfall on his family.
“This is kind of play money for me now,” he said. “Most of it will go to the grandkids.”
