$100,000 SCRATCH ’N WIN LOTTERY WINDFALL IN SASKATOON!
Russell and Cheyanne Deane received an unexpected early Christmas gift, thanks to a SCRATCH ’N WIN lottery ticket. The Saskatoon couple won $100,000 on their PLAYER’S CHOICE MEGA PACK ticket pouch.
Cheyanne bought the $20 ticket pouch from Shah Discount Convenience Store – located at 1524 Rayner Avenue in Saskatoon – on a Friday afternoon. Russell scratched the 10 tickets from the pouch that evening.
He couldn’t believe his eyes when he uncovered the major win on a game called HOT LINES.
“I checked that ticket about 20 times to be sure,” he remembered. “Then I said to Cheyanne, ‘I think we won a lot of money.’”
The couple said the windfall started to feel real after Russell took the ticket back to the store to verify the prize.
“Now I know how it feels to win the lottery,” he said. “It’s just like the commercials!”
The couple said they plan to use their winnings to pay bills and set aside some for their children’s education.
“And we’ll have a good Christmas this year,” Russell added.
Saskatchewan Lotteries is the fundraiser for more than 12,000 sport, culture, recreation and community groups.
