Jane Allen and four of her co-workers won $103,724.40 on the May 10 LOTTO MAX draw. The group members have been playing the lottery together for more than a year now.
“I was checking some tickets the morning after the draw,” she said. “I got to the winning ticket and thought, ‘It would be so nice if there was something on this!’”
“I had to do a double-take,” she continued. “I called everyone to tell them the good news – everyone was really happy!”
The group members – including Allen, Greg Hipperson, Gerlad Rousell, Mitchell Wourms and Donald Hipperson – have started to make plans for their respective $20,744 shares of the windfall.
“I think we all have different ideas,” said Allen. “Bill payments, travel, a new boat – those seem to be the most popular ideas so far.”
Allen purchased the group’s winning ticket at the Shoppers Drug Mart located at 1210 7th Avenue in Saskatoon. The group won their prize by matching six out of the seven main draw numbers and the bonus number. The winning LOTTO MAX numbers on May 10 were 16, 17, 31, 34, 36, 39 and 41. The bonus number was 10.
