$100,000 EXTRA WIN IN REGINA
Todd Leurer could not believe his eyes when he scanned a LOTTO MAX and EXTRA ticket and discovered he and his wife, Tara, had won $100,000. The couple won on the May 18 draw.
“I went to the store on a break from work,” said Todd. “When I saw the amount, I tried to stay as calm as I could.”
Todd said he took his ticket straight home and then returned to work.
“I thought I have to take this home for safe-keeping!” he said.
The happy winners said they don’t have any immediate plans for their winnings.
“We just want to put the money in the bank for right now,” said Tara. “It’s definitely going to help make life a little bit easier.”
The Leurers purchased their winning LOTTO MAX and EXTRA ticket at Hill Avenue Drugs, located at 3410 Hill Avenue in Regina. They matched the last six digits of the winning EXTRA number, 5812270, to win the game’s second-highest prize.
