$100,000 CROSSWORD TRIPLER win in Saskatoon
When Diane Simon scratched her $5 CROSSWORD TRIPLER, she thought she won $1,000. When she realized she had in fact won a much larger prize – $100,000 to be exact – she was elated!
“As I was scratching my ticket, I thought I had won $1,000. Then I thought maybe it was $10,000,” she said. “When I scratched the final letters, I had to double- and then triple-check the words.”
"I thought, 'Oh my God! Is this real? Am I dreaming?!' ” she laughed when claiming her prize. “I was almost numb!"
After triple-checking, Simon took her ticket to not one, but two stores to ensure she had won the game’s top prize.
“I was still in disbelief,” she explained. “I just could not believe it!"
Thanks to her recent lottery win, Simon plans to retire earlier than she originally planned.
“Winning $100,000 will help me feel more secure in my retirement,” she said.
Simon purchased her $5 CROSSWORD TRIPLER Zing! ticket at Cory Common Shell, located at 3206 Preston Ave. South in Saskatoon.
